Get ready for a unique adventure at 5,600 meters above sea level , on the most accessible mountain in San Pedro de Atacama. Cerro Toco offers an ideal challenge for those looking to experience a high-altitude climb without the need for technical equipment.
🥾 We begin the hike at 5,200 m, from where we advance for about 2 km to reach the summit, overcoming a 400 m elevation gain . The pace is leisurely, with breaks and a professional guide, allowing for safe adaptation to the altitude.
🌄 From the summit, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Altiplano volcanoes, the Lagunas Blancas and Verdes of Bolivia , and the Atacama Salt Flat. A moment of deep connection with nature and the Andes.

🏔️ Attention to Altitude Acclimatization :
We recommend staying at least 48 hours in San Pedro de Atacama before taking high mountain tours such as:
- Toco Hill (5,600 meters above sea level)
- Lascar Volcano (5,600 meters above sea level)
It is requested that the passenger has undergone prior acclimatization, ideally through the following tours:
- Salt Flats Route (4,400 meters above sea level)
- Piedras Rojas (4,200 meters above sea level)

This tour is not operated directly by Horizonte Atacama. The Lascar Volcano climb is carried out by an external agency specializing in high mountain activities, duly registered and authorized to operate adventure tourism.
